FAQs

The questions everyone asks.

A sample of the most common ones. The full library covers every service and grows every time a client asks something new.

Do you only work on luxury cars? +
No. The specialty is high end work. Most weeks the schedule has more Outbacks, Teslas, and family SUVs on it than exotics, and every car moves through the same departments.
Why are you priced higher than other shops? +
Specialists instead of one person doing everything, premium materials, a climate controlled facility, and ongoing training. Pay for it once, or pay for it twice. Our starting numbers are posted so you can decide with real information.
Do I need an appointment? +
Yes, every service runs on an appointment. A consultation first is strongly recommended, and it's how you get an exact number instead of a starting one.
Is LUXE part of a national chain? +
No. Locally owned and independently operated since 2012, with both studios here in Utah and the owners in the building.
Do you do paint and body work? +
No. Paint correction removes defects from the existing finish, but we're not a body shop. If your car needs paint, we'll point you to people we trust and take care of the protection after.
How dark can I legally tint in Utah? +
Front side windows can go to 43%, anything behind the front doors can go as dark as you like, and windshields take a 70% ceramic film. We keep every install inside the law.
Which is better, film or a coating? +
Different jobs. LLumar film absorbs rock chips and impact. A Modesta coating resists chemicals and sun and makes washing easier. Many cars get film on the front and a coating over everything.
Why do you only install Modesta ceramic coatings? +
We researched everything on the market, installed the first ceramic coating in Utah, and settled on Modesta as the chemistry worth standing behind. Modesta restricts it to authorized professionals, and we're the exclusive studio in the state.
Aftercare

After the work is done.

Every car leaves with a care kit and this advice in person. The first days matter most, so here it is again in writing.

PPF

Paint protection filmFIRST 14 DAYS

Skip washing for the first week while the film cures. Moisture pockets and silver edges are normal early and settle on their own. Come back for the two week checkup, it keeps the labor warranty valid. Hand wash after that. Touchless is fine, brush washes are not.

TINT

Window tintFIRST 10 DAYS

Keep the windows up for two to five days while the film cures. Haze or small moisture bubbles can hang around for ten days, then they leave. Clean with a damp microfiber or ammonia free cleaner only, and keep sharp edges and pet claws off the glass.

COAT

Modesta coatingFIRST 48 HOURS

Skip washing for the first 48 hours while it cures. Use the included Modesta care products and nothing else. Never add wax or sealants over it, the coating is the protection. Monthly hand washes with gentle soap keep it performing.

WRAP

Vinyl wrapFIRST 7 DAYS

Skip washing for the first week after install. Get bird droppings and sap off quickly, they etch vinyl faster than paint. Hand wash with the two bucket routine below. The two week checkup applies here too and keeps the labor warranty valid.

The two bucket wash

How we wash cars, and how you should.

Most swirl marks come from washing. Two buckets fix most of that, and it takes no longer once you have the habit.

01 · Two bucketsOne with soap, one with plain rinse water. Grit guards in both if you have them.
02 · Wash top downPanels get dirtier as you go lower. Save the rockers and bumpers for last with their own mitt.
03 · Rinse the mittEvery panel, the mitt goes into the rinse bucket first. The dirt stays in the bucket instead of grinding into the paint.
04 · Dry softPlush microfiber towels or a blower. Never a bath towel, never a squeegee, never the sun.

Warranty

What stands behind the work.

Two layers on every install. The material manufacturer warranties the film, tint, or coating itself, and LUXE warranties the labor. The two week checkup after film and wrap installs is part of keeping both valid, so we book it before you leave.

Full warranty terms per service are available at either studio, written in plain English with the exclusions listed honestly.

Careers

Work here.

Every department has a training ladder, and the people running them climbed it. If you're a die hard car person with the patience to master one step at a time, we want the resume even when nothing is posted.

Send a cover letter and resume to careers@luxeautomotive.com with the role you're after in the subject line. The cover letter is required. It's the first test of caring about details.
